Another example of poorly erected warnings of road works. Luckily the driver was ok. Maybe the Vic Roads will learn to do it properly. There was a horrendous crash at Snowtown on the Main North Road to Pt. Augusta. A car pulled out of the roadhouse on the northern side of town, turned out to head south. The car must have cut off a road train heading south, which catapulted the little car into the path of a grain road train heading north. The driver didn't survive, and the 3 passengers are in serious condition in Adelaide Hospital. Never, never try to cut in front of a road train travelling at 100 KPH. They can't stop the beast. Give them some room.

Rather scary stuff we are currently in north QLD where there are heaps of road repairs after the floods, I picked up a good idea from a caravanner in front of me at one of the roadside sets of traffic lights activate hazard lights when stopping but dont forget to turn them off when moving again.

Do folk still put petrol cans on the rear of their vans?
some do carry water in those cans, but I have seen in some freebies people taking those cans off the back of their van and putting the contents in their fuel tank, I do not think that was water, but maybe it was a staem car
