I can't even get one to come on to "pick this place" - just goes round and round forever! frustrating!

valnrob you may have to do that yourself just go back into the topic and select edit, there is an option to delete pics just below the topic box

Jules, if the pic is not uploading then it is too big, you need to resize your pic.

Val, maybe as wombat said, try to edit. I wouldn't worry too much, looks okay to me. We do realise you don 't have two of everything. lol

I've tried that Wombat and it doesn't seem to help.

I find I can only upload pictures at night, so I presume it's something to do with 'traffic'. confuse

Whatever photos I have on my laptop, if I want to put one on here I reduce it to 30% of its original size. Have no idea of the Kbs etc. Have never had a problem uploading onto here.

What gets me is, why do some peoples photos come out so big if they have to be that small to upload? It's Sheba's I think, that are big.

I really don't know how she does it Beth. Mine always come out what they call a thumbnail, I think, and you click on it.
I'm sure some are uploading a completely different way as it is just a photo on a page, not the little thumbnail link.

correct HW, go to the top of the class.

to show them big you will need to upload them to a photo site then put them on here as a [IMG] at the start of the string and [IMG] at the end

I sometimes use PhotoBucket, I don't like to see them toooo big when they make the page bigger and you have to scroll to view the pic, and any text that anybody else put in the topic is also made wider

Totally agree with you wombat. I find that very offputting, and don't bother continuing to read. Have given up on those huge stretched photos as it is not necessary.
I will continue to do it the way I do, I presume it is the right way or there would not be the option there when posting. It's there for a reason, my way or the highway as they say.

I was in contact with Sheba sometime ago trying to get her to resize but she could not see how it was done, perhaps if somebody on here would be able to show her how to do it (resize I meanbiggrin) when you meet up with her along the track, it would make it easier for her to pick it up, it's always a lot easier if you are shown how to do it.

Why would it be a punishment Beth ?  I think it's a great Pic. of you, which is why I saved it when it was first posted.

I don't know what size the Pics. are that I have been posting, that's their normal size.

I didn't take your comment as a criticism.

The re-sizer I use is a freebie.  Prish Resizer. Just Google it.  It's the simplest one I've found.  You just make a Folder for Re-sized Pics, right click on the Pic. you want, click on Prish Resizer in the dropdown box,  click on the size you want, and the Pic. goes into the Folder.  Dead simple.

Try it and see if it helps.

Cheers,

Sheba.

I will make a point of doing just that when I head up that way in a few weeks wombat.
I know she will be pleased to see me and not just to help her with the photos. I have been promising for months to get up there for a visit.

Mine come out this size now too, but only after resizing on that site Wombat referred me to. http://www.picresize.com/ But I find it a nuisance to have to do this every time I want to upload a photo.

I didn't know it could be done there. Can you crop etc there too? I use Picasa too, although mainly for the cropping and improving colour etc. I think my camera's not doing such a great job anymore.

Now I've seen it. Very impressive, and much bigger than the Greens Lake version. Well done!
I bet the dog's impressed.

hey CG it is a lot bigger, got it for a song and we just pulled things out and renewed how we wanted. Luckily it already had ensuite added. So it's great. Little sad to see our old one go, but inside loo has made up for it.

cheers
