Pet friendly campervan hire

Hi there I have just joined this forum.I posted this in the pet section but thought I should post it in the general section as well

I am thinking of doing a few short trips with my little foxy to see if travelling will suit us both :)

I want to hire a campervan. Does anyone know of some companies that let you take your dog in the van with you?

Thank you

Jenr. you know ??? if your dog is well behaved ?? and you are a responsible owner, as i am sure you are, as you want to take him with you.

Well ?? I would just hire the camper, and leave ''fido'' out of the negotation, once you have picked up the van, '' who would know ?? ]

If THEY mention no pets in the contract, thats different, but if they don't mention it ?? don't you either ???   dazren

Think I'd probably be doing the same thing Jenr.  Do make sure you check the contract first tho.

Welcome from me too jenr, enjoy here and out there.

I reckon if it's not in the contract then mum's the word also and as well even, if Michelle and Dazren agree then go for it.

Wombat that is something Doug would say not you so quit it lol.  Don't listen to him Jenr, by leaving out something that is not asked of you is not lying.  It is up to them to ask the questions not for you to give them info they do not need lol.  Be cool winkwinkwink

No I am a bit off colour actually, have a swollen gland in my neck well I think it is a gland otherwise there is a lump on the right side of my neck that should not be there and it bloody hurts like hell, big too!!!

But I did seriously agree with you Doug on this one only biggrinbiggrinbiggrin and maybe on more occasions if Wombat keeps on the way he is with his whoppers lol.

No one is asking you to tell any lies Jen.

If it is not in the contract and you do not say anything....then you are not lying Jen.

Don't put obstacles in your path that may not be there

You could just make an anonymous phonecall and ask about their policy on animals.

Also you could ask them to email or send a copy of a contract before fronting up to sign one not knowing whether or not you're prepared to go ahead and sign. Just suggestions.

Welcome to the forum..... don't worry re the mad ones here, but it does seem to be catching.

I reckon you should be up front- ask their pet policy, and the negotiate around it. If they want the business, and can be assured you are a responsible pet owner, most managers will negotiate.
Ask for the manager, not just the kid on the desk.
Be ready to pay extra for cleaning, and maybe offer a bond.

jenr. My keyring has a saying. "I spent most of my life worrying about things that never happened" Mark Twain.

I think that says it all and similiar to the above saying.
