Arrived here yesterday just after mid day and plan to stay here until Monday morning making 3 nights at St Lawrence Camps6 #89, just the thing to keep well ahead of the budget having spent nothing for 2 days.
This is a huge camp ground with excellent facilities, how about a hot shower for 3 minutes costing $1.
The camp ground is divided into generator and non generator areas with the non generator area being quite small with no grassy areas whilst the other area has lots of good grassy sites. I went for a walk all around the site and would have liked to camp in the grassy area and put up my annex but was not impressed with the sound emanating from many generators. Did the domestic thing this morning getting my laundry done in the buckets with water freely available here and a couple of hoist clothes lines are there, so that job is done for a while. Went for a walk into St Lawrence whilst the clothes dried, no more than a couple of kms with a general store also selling fuel and a pub just an easy walk. John
I stayed there a couple of nights last year. Great spot, plenty of room, even though it was pretty full at the time.
I was looking forward to the Polocross on the Saturday, but it poured on Friday night, so the ground was far too dangerous for the horses. Pity, I'd never seen polocross.
I was supposed to visit Sheba after there, but got food poisoning along the way, so headed straight to my friends in Bundy.
Whew!!!! sure looks different than when we were there recently - it was packed out - people were staying out on the road, and in the little turn around spot over the road. But a great spot - See you soon John!!

Hope so Jules, am thinking of going to Clairview tomorrow it is shown in Camps as a day stop but travellers have told me that they have camped overnight there.
More on St Lawrence. Went for a walk this morning to the wetlands lake followed in the afternoon with a longer walk to the new railway bridge. The weather here has been really good, shirt off weather. John

When you get to Clairview, you will see the sign saying that overnight camping is now allowed. Near the dump point.
Camped at St Lawrence Reserve last year - no grass there for generator campers.
