Camped at the Toompine pub ( Qld. )  free camp last night .

 

Very good overnight stop . Power , hot showers , toilets , good water , all for the total cost of zilch . ( if you have a drink or / and meal there ) .

Great people , beautiful cold beer , top tucker ( huge crumbed steak vegs and gravy . . . $14.50 ) .

 

They make pies on the premises too . Beautiful . $3.50

 

Quiet horses , donkeys , goats , birds . Kids would love it .

 

The owner found a small owl hooked up in a fence last year . It had a broken wing so he took it back to the pub where they looked after it . The wing dropped off so they keep the bird  there .

It wouldn't last 1 night in the wild .

Yeah ... Toompine pub is a great free overnight stop over - although you can stay longer if ya want.

Completely agree wif all the above - here's some pics of the place.
