The latest update, re "Cost Effective Maintence" Well the additive certainly works. I was out of Albany, 8am, Sunday, 12 th. and into Ceduna, 5PM Tuesday ,14th. The diesel motor ran very well. Prior to leaving, I checked the oil level, and it has remained the at the full mark right across "The Paddock". I keep the motor under 2500 revs, at all time. 85 to 90 gives me 10 klms to the litre, on flat running. I expected the fuel consumption to be a little more, as I am dragging a purpose built trailer, with my BMW motorcycle on it. Will probably burn more when in hill country. I am heading up to Nambor (Qld.) via Port Augusta, Wilmington, Peterborough, Broken Hill, Wilcannia, Cobar, Bourke, Walgett, Moree, Goondiwindi, Toowoomba. ??? There's some friends I have to catch up with, before heading to the cmca, SOLOS "do" at Laidley. (Qld) It's been at least 5 years since I went to one of these "kneesup's", so why not ? Must admit that after travelling on my own for such a long time, it might be a good thing to sit down and chat to people, for a change !? Over the years, a lot of travellers have said, "Don't stop at Willcannia, as the locals can be a problem!" I have camped there many times over the years, and never had a worry. Besides, some of the buildings there are magnificently built, plus it's history as a thriving wool port is amazing. Anybody going my way !? Regards "Pipes"
