Sad news for the pink roadhouse oodnadatta

During the targa rally event in adelaide there was a deadly crash today. Whilst it's not confirmed in the press the driver was adam plate, owner of the pink roadhouse.

What a great job he did at that roadhouse! It was a real oasis in the desert. He will be sadly missed by the travellers in that area. My sympathies to his family.

Very sad - the roadhouse is a great little place, an oasis in the desert as Gerty says. Will be sadly missed, by family, friends and travellers.

I saw a link on another forum where I think the morning show did a story showing the roadhouse and Adam and his wife and how it was for sale.

Very sad particularly for his family, at least he died doing what he enjoyed.
