Hi All, Just got my van insurance bill and after I got up of the floor I thought I would ask on the forum who do others insure with and how they find the insurance company to deal with.
So if you have any comments they will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers Vern

Well I don't how mine compare has I don't no how much your is , How much are you insured for , Have you got hail and any other type you can only compare apples with apples
I'm with CIL - mainly because of the policy. They are one of the few that cover the van 'Australia-wide' for a full-time traveller. Their premium was competitive as well.
Price is important - but read the policy document carefully and be very aware of the exclusions. Saving premium money is not very helpful if you don't get covered for the way you use the van or for events that may eventuate.
Cheers - John

My Iveco is insured for $65K thru CMCA. Premium is $660.00. Renewal just came in and I heard APIA had a good deal, so asked for a quote.....$795.00. I'll stick with CMCA..

Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
When we had a caravan we were with CIL & a claim we made was handled very promptly. Now we have a motorhonme our insurance is with Ken Tame through CMCA
we went with CIL this time. The policy seemed to be more considerate of us Nomadic types with RV's and the price was much better than the company we have been with for more than 25 years.
So much for loyalty discounts

I'm with Ken Tame too. You have to be a member of CMCA to take out the insurance which means they only insure campervans and motorhomes. Although it's possible they accept associate members too - might be worth asking if you have a caravan.
We have house & conts, two cars, boat & van all with NRMA, when I had to give work away seven year back I checked all the others & none came close.
JC.
Yes we have everything with NRMA too... the multiple policy discounts make it the best solution for us.
I also found the same thing and when my car was written off a few years ago it happened on the Thursday afternoon and the insurance money was in my bank on the following Tuesday. Really happy with that.
