Arrived today 1st Sept Lot of road works...But what a beautiful spot...Will spend two nights up top and will go and visit Gladstone Monday and come back and stay down stairs I have taken a snap of my new Premises........
Hi Jimbo, we will be going there in the near future. your photo looks gorgeous. what do you think the max. stay is and also can you drive in and park and when you leave you just drive forward. no reversing. have you heard how long the roadworks are going to last? any info. would be appreciated.
Rocket - think it is 48 hour stay - on the high side of the river - and you can park wherever you fit really - the earlier you get there, the more choice of spots - Jimbos pic is looking from the high side to the low side - over the river - need to go in from the south to get over there . As for roadworks, we came up nearly four months ago - roadworks then - the Bruce Highway is full of roadworks!!!!!

Security .came around yesterday at 3rd Sep at 3.00pm to check on over stayers.with a note book working Not sure if he pinged anybody...I arrived back at 4.00pm after a great day in Gladstone Qld doing a little shopping at Bunnings....48 Hrs is far to short a break at this most pleasant stop It makes ordinary good people forever looking over their shoulders at the Gestapo approach
