Woolwash lagoon near rockhampton

Just wondering if you can stay overnight at this spot? We are travelling through Rocky later in the day and moving on in morning. Thanks

Hi tufftimes, welcome to the nut house, enjoy here and out in the playground. Grab a copy of "Camps 6" it will be a great help to you for all the free camp or low cost spots, it will also tell you if and how long you can prop.

Thanks for that we have camps 6 and lists this spot as a day park BUT we know that is not always the case!!! Wondering if anyone had been there, checked it out on sat maps and it looks out of the way of built up area.

Only a day use area, Rocky is not really RV friendly, I don't think there are any free camps around this local council area.

Hi,   Nice spot but is no longer for overnight. Posted as no camping but if you arrived late & left early who's to know?  No free camps close to R'ton that I know of. None at the coast. Trucks did overnight on the western sjde of the roundabout but that is probably closed with all the roadworks. Nearest spot I know of is at Yamba nth of R'ton.    Bill

Yaamba is about 35kms north of Rocky .

Free camp next to the pub .

It's right beside the highway , so is a tad noisy through the night .

Good meals at the pub there too .
