Easier Review of Free/Budget Campsites

Could the Free/Budget Campsites Sub Forum be sub divided again by state making it easier to review

That would be a good idea Peter. With subs for the states they would get put into the correct state. Would make it impossible to talk about a place without explaining where it is.

I fully agree Peter, as a lot of grey nomads enter a great camp at a town and no state. Being reasonably new to our trip around Australia, we dont know every town in every state.

Camps 6 cover all states and I have found to be a great guide and have not found a free site that wasn't in camp 6

Even easier - how about a map you could just put a pin in (on line of course) -- a map for each state with 'mouse over' info for each pin. That way we will have a visual idea instead of having to look everything up. For a Kiwi like me there are so many names that mean nothing but at least on a map I have the visual aid:)

I have found if you put a town - Townsville - into the "search" area above, it will usually give you some ideas.

The point is to get other nomads recommendations and advice on a particular site, what they thought of it, when they were last there etc. That is the type of info that is not in Camps 6 or other numbers.
We have the Section already, was just suggested that it be divided up into states. Which I agree with. Quite often a town will be named and no state, then you find that towns name is in at least 3 different states.

Sounds like that could be very exe to set up there spida but sounds good though, I do like that system when it is being used elsewhere.

I have an exercise book for each state. When someone puts up comments in Free/Budget camping or recommendations that is relevant to my travelling I put it in the appropriate state's book.
The guys on here put up such great information that is not contained in Camps 6 or any map. Its so handy.

I try to put into the heading - town name, state - and in the post itself - the Camps reference Number, and some details about the place - i.e. toilets, water etc.
