Wallumbilla Q

I decided to go on to Injune after sis talked me into it. It wasn't so cold last night and it's been a beautiful warm day.

Lots of roadworks along the Warrego Highway, with quite a long detour on the western side of Dalby.

FYI..In Dalby there's nowhere to park close to Woolies, but we got street parking near Coles.

We arrived at Wallumbilla planning to stay at the Showgrounds, but found it closed for renovations. On asking at the Calico Cottage on the highway, it was suggested we could stay here beside the hall. It's acouple of strrets back from the highway, so not too noisy.

There's a toilet, but no shower. On to Injune tomorrow.

I had to get my map out to see where you had got to Beth. You've had a good trip, gone a good distance. Good on you.

No Doug, just a 'short' trip. Sis and bil are on a time limit Marj, hence the fair distance yesterday.

We were heading for Injune. Our cousin has a display of quilting at the Art Gallery next to the Info Centre. She is well known for her beautiful quilts. I'm not a quilter myself, my sister is, but I can appreciate the work that's gone into it. They're amazing. I've taken some photos so I'll upload a few when I get home.

We are now on our way to Taroom. We've gone off on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere and found  nice spot on top of a hill. Might get some good sunset photo's tonight.

The roads are all very busy out here, with mine vehicles, trucks etc. We had to overtake a wide load at one point and that's when the UHF comes in very handy.

Lucy & Lulu are doing fine, but this dirt road to our camp tonight was a bit rough. Stuff fallen everywhere inside. Oh well!
