we are after a small instantanious hot water system for our poptop (the only thing we need to make her perfect). Looked at a tap system yesterday, you just take of the excisting tap and put this one on , it has an electrical cord which requires fitting,. Was wonder if anyone out there has one of these or any other type of small instantanious water heating system.
hoping someone out there has some info, i'm sure someone will.
Hiya Lyn. Most of the sink top HWS require a dedicated 15amp power point that will need to be installed by a licenced electrician, if he can find where and how to run the cable for it. If you can source a 10amp unit it can be pluged into the vans exiting 10amp power points. Cheers, Ozjohn.

That hot water system you are refering to, does need to be fitted to the 15 amp inlet into your van, however I have seen some players plug into the normal 10 amp outlet.....very naughty. Sure it gives instant hot water, but you are governed by having to have mains power, and mains water pressure, which means caravan parks. If you enjoy free camping forget it.
We have a "Coleman" portable hot water system, and it's a winner. However it is a bit cumberson, and takes up a bit of room. We modified an area in our old van, and the unit fits perfectly. You still have to have, a source area of water in the first place. In saying that the "Coleman" comes with a receptical for holding the source water.
It suits us fine.
Hope that helps
Cheers & beers

Put the kettle on. Sorry, but what some call creature comforts such as hot and cold running water, is nothing more than compromising to the circumstances. Home or camping. How many times a day do you really require hot water, or more specifically running, on-tap hot water? Dishes, once or twice a day. Shower/wash, once a day each.
