Our plan to hit the road is a few more steps closer to happening.
Original plan was to take 18 months off work. In the last couple of weeks the plan changed a little.
We both decided to quit work & retire. ( have to say it does feel strange not having a job for the first time in our lives)
Finishing of a few jobs around the home, have a great tenant lined up to rent the house.
Have decided to sell our off road camper trailer, and looks like it is sold.
Located a caravan in the last few days, and purely by accident. (no, Wombat, we didn't crash into it)
Has the exact layout we were after, and other items (tv, dvd, radio, solar, batteries, charger, air cond, jerry can holders, etc.) and within what we had budgeted for.
Put down a deposit on it today.
All in all its coming together quite well. 4 to 6 weeks should see us saying goodbye to our home and hello road.
Regards
Daryl & Sylvie

Alcohol is not the answer. It only makes you forget the question.
It sounds like the van you are thinking of buying may have had "extras" added after manufacture? If so, before you commit, check that you will still have enough weight leeway to be legal after you've packed all your stuff for travel.
