Black Stump Rest Area Mundubbera

Is that the one on top of a hill John ?  Looks a bit different to the one I remember from a few years ago.

Maybe it's not the same place.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Stopped overnight at the Black Stump Rest Area Mundubbera Camps6 #461. Am on a go slow tactic and in no hurry to move down to Millmerran so I stopped here. This is the best roadside rest area in many kms, it has good water, flushing toilets, internet, free camp kitchen with plenty of tables and seats. At certain times there is a driver reviver kiosk, probably over the weekends.
I set up my shower tent and took advantage of the water to have a shower, the first since Dawson River last Saturday. Am heading towards Gayndah with a free spot between here and there but probably no internet.     John

That looks really nice John. I'll give that one a tick in the bible.

It is on a curve on the road just at Mundubbera coming from Gayndah no more than 3kms from the centre of town and just passed the town bypass coming from Eidsvold. Could be a different one Sheba.

Gotta be the same one.  Don't remember the "Black Stump" sign though.  Stayed there coming and going when I went to Victoria a while back.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Nice. Great little town, lovely people, we stayed at the 3 Rivers C/P there, and kept extending our stay as we liked it so much.
