Hello everyone,

we are new members and would like to introduce ourselves. We are in our mid fifties and have just bought our first caravan. We pick it up on Saturday. We are very excited. We live in Brisbane, and will be travelling with our black standard poodle. I have enjoyed visiting the forum and have already learned a great deal. Thank you all. May I please ask for your advice on towing mirrors. We need to get the right ones but there are so many on the market. We have a Ford Falcon and will be towing a lightweight Swift caravan. Can you please advice which towing mirrors are the best. Thank you all again and have a safe journey where ever you may be.

Hi and welcome Crinkle and Dobbie - don't know much about mirrors, but I am sure someone will give you some advice pretty soon.
Enjoy the site, read all the different forums - I digress, solos, etc., you will find a heap of info in this site. Enjoy your caravan and your travelling.

Welcome Crinkle and Dobbie, we look forward to getting to know you.

As far as mirrors go, our experience is that Clearview are by far the best but they dont make them for Falcons. We've tried clip-ons, as well as the cheap version of the Truck type, and wouldnt recommend either of those... maybe the real Aussie Truck Mirrors might be the way to go.

In the "Search" at the top of the page try typing towing mirrors in and see what you get, as its been discussed several times.

Welcome Crinkle and Dobbie. Sorry I can't help on the mirrors on account of I drive a motorhome so mine are built in types. I'm sure you'll get it sorted out soon and you'll be on your way to enjoying the great big playground that we all call home.

Welcome.

We have the Aussie Truck Mirrors and they work fine on the Nissan Patrol, My sister and brother inlaw use the "aura big red magnet type" on their Falcon Wagon.

You would be welcome to view our mirrors and try them on your vehicle.

We are just north of Brisbane, post here and I can email my address if you're interested.

confuse Welcome to the forum we hope you have many years of enjoyable travel in your new caravan in regard to ors I use Orro mirrors and have a rear view camera on the back of the van which provides excellent view of what is happening behind me and I can see passing vehicles as they come up beside me, I would not tow without the camera as it makes all the difference in safety and a full set up can be purchased for under $300 on line.winkwink
