The CMCA have an insurance scheme for motorhomes and campervans but you have to be a member of the CMCA.

G'day wildbill,

I have my house and contents, with a few specialy listed items and Avan all in the one policy through Bupa (HBA), General Insurance and pay monthly at no extra cost. Works for me anyway. Never had a claim and hope it stays that way so don't know how they are when it comes to claims.

If you join the CMCA and insure through Ken Tame, they also provide some help if you break down - arrange tow, etc.

Haven't we all wildbill? If I have a tyre change I will be calling on my RACV membership or waiting for a big strong fellow to come along.

My comprehensive insurance is with RACV as well as my 3rd party gaining me 10% discount. We all get roadside assistance plus the opportunity to pay monthly which suits my lifestyle very well.

Never had to claim yet and hope that I never will.

John

National Seniors Insurance is underwritten by Allianz to insure my tug. The van is insured with CIL, which only insures caravans, and I guess motorhomes.
Shop around and read the fine print.
I have RAA roadside assist in SA which covers me all over the country, as does most roadside assist in other states.
It's about the only thing in motoring, travel and transport which is national.
Good luck with your choice, and may you never have to use it.
