FYI if looking to overnight in Tweed Heads.

G'day everyone, just an update for anyone looking to stay at the Billabong caravan park in Tweed Heads; there are considerable earth works under way right along side the park and the M1 (pacific highway) runs right next to the park. As part of the roadworks the sound barriers have been removed making it a rather noisy place 24/7 at this time. Perhaps check other c/p's if you are seeking peace and quiet.

cheers,

ozi2

Thanks for the warning, I always stay at Yelgun Rest Area, it's nice and quiet there.

There's CP at Fingal. I've never stayed there, but it's right next to the beach and right away from the M1.
