LAKE AWONGA QLD


Hello Everyone, Has anyone been to Lake Awonga, near Gladstone? would love to hear what you thought of the accommodation and how long it took to get to Gladstone by car and is the road to the lake ok to drive a falcon and van  thanks . rocket n strop

road is fine no probs at all not sure of distance to gladstone but it isnt a huge drive only stopped in to have a look and it looks a real nice place enjoy

 According to Google maps it is 28km from Lake Awoonga to Gladstone.

Look for Boyndale Bush Camp -it is the other side of Lake Awoonga - free camp - 7 days I think - pit toilets - lots of room - it is in the CAW book (can't get to mine at the moment) sorry.

It is a lovely place - right on the water, people fish all the time - the loos are kept very clean (long drops) - putting up a pic of sunrise over the water

WAS AT THE DAM about 3 months ago good road tar about 40 minutes from GLADSTONE

ABOUT $30 powered site very clean pretty level good bush walks bird life & ROOS boat

ramps, fishing,red claws small shop would go back
