Thanks for putting this on the forum, there is this summer a massive risk of fires worse than we have seen in the last 60 years across a very large portion of Australia due to the rain received over the last couple of years which has supported excessive growth in the forests and grasslands. there is a site called fires near me that you can look at to see if it is safe to travel in any region of Australia it also has an app for those with a smart phone.

Please be careful especially when free camping in National Parks or in the bush.

Yes we've had 2 bushfires in this area so far and the fire season hasn't started yet.
