Heading out in the playground

It will be fairly busy but that is the weekend we arranged for last year and it worked well. Quite a few were there by that weekend.

Edit: If I was able to get down there that early in Nov I would be there too. My grandson up here was born on Melbourne Cup day 4 years ago. Not having spent a birthday with him yet I wll leave here after.

Well, I have just about finished all the bits and pieces in readiness for my adventure into the playground, I spose you could say once the bat and ball is packed I'm ready.

I have only got 2 bookings in CV Parks due to Travel Auctions I was lucky to get, 5 nights in Lakes Entrance (another 5  left for later) and 10 nights in Batemans Bay. No plans for about 10 nights in between or after BB, I'll just wing that.

I will get to the Murray River (Tocumwall) early November I hope. I think I might need to avoid the river over the Melbourne Cup long weekend though. Speaking of that weekend, I leave Batemans Bay on the Friday so that leaves me with no accommodation booked for that weekend and a lot of Melbournites head away for a four day weekend, mmmm.

What about Greens Lake Doug. If you need to avoid the river maybe that will be a better alternative. There will be a few grey nomads there by that weekend.

I did think of GL Marj but I thought that would be very busy as well. You are the GL Guru, what do you reckon?

Hi Doug,

I am planning to be in Greens around the 1st Nov, it will be busy most places over the Melbourne Cup weekend so if you can't beat 'em join 'em.

John
