Traded the 4x4 today

Now that got you wondering. We traded the 4x4 for a ride on the Manly ferry today. Been sooooo long since we did the trip. It was great.

That was probably a good idea as they don't allow you to take your 4x4 on the ferry!

The Watson's Bay Ferry is another good one and fish and chips on the waterfront. Shows some lovely houses. The ferry to Parramatta is pretty good too. I have done the lot in a day as well as the Manly Ferry. No better way to see Sydney I reckon.

I don,t mean to one up you , but I did Manly, Bondi, and Kings Cross, plus the Parra ferry, in one day , last year. $25 for a day pass is great value.I think pensioners get it for $2.50! Bill

Sounds like a great day briche, good on ya. I am thinking of catching the train from Kiama when I am there to Sydney one day and will take in a ferry run myself, more than likely the Manly Ferry.

Your idea sounds good too Bill.

You can take the tram from Central to Darling Harbour, check out the Maritime Museum etc, then ferry to Circular Quay, then ferry to wherever, (Watsons Bay, Manly etc, etc,), return to Circular Quay and train back to Central. All included in your ticket from anywhere in the City Rail Network for $2.50 for seniors.

City Rail Network extends from Scone/Dungog to Nowra and west to Lithgow.

Taking the 7 YO Grandson for what he says is his 'Dream Holiday' to Sydney in January.

He has a long list of things to do.

We will stay at  Narabeen  Lakes & bus into Manly, then on the slow ferry to the CBD.  Might investigate the use of the other ferries on the pensioner day travel ticket.

Be nice to go to Watsons Bay ... used to go there for long lunches on an expense account in another life.

Thanks for reminding me.

(thankfully he is under 10 so I won't be able to climb the bridge with him)
