Bucca/Bundaberg

Bucca is 19klms nth of Bundaberg. There is bush camping on a 98 acre property (Binnowee), overlooking a huge dam, with lots of birds and wildlife. Must be self contained as there is no water or power, but if you love nature, peace and quiet, and security, you'll love this spot. It is $10 a night which helps with the cost of maintaining the manicured camp.

Hi, and yes it's still open. If you are heading nth on Rosedale Road, there's a sign to Bucca Rd on your left, and we are 3.05 klms down there on your left. If you wish to ring for more detailed directions, our number is 41578331 or email gillyjed55@gmail.com Mopsy

Yes Chris & Peter, it's pet friendly, but because there's lots of birdlife, we prefer that they be monitored at all times. We have a dog also, and she is now used to the birds, ducks & swans etc that are on the dam. There's lots of room for pets to run,& very quiet & peaceful.

If I had remembered your generous offer I would have been in there often for a much deserved break.
Somehow I will have to remember this for when I get back from Vic in August

We are at Binnowee now. Staying for a few days. It is vey quiet, listening to the birds. Currently we have the place to ourselves. Property is well maintained. John and Gilda are very welcoming. At $10 per night it is hard to pass up. You still need to be self contained. Please remember to take your rubbish when you leave.

Don't know if Binnowee is still open, but now there is a good campsite at the Bucca pub.

big level area. $10 pn. Pay at the pub. Very good pub meals.

No power. No water Showers available at the pub for $5 each.

I checked this area out 2 weeks ago. Bucca pub has power, water, toilets & showers. Its good, quiet but not too flash. If self contained, and you like peace and quiet in a small lakeside setting, Binnowee would be my preference. Intend going back with the van in the future.
Check them out on wikicamps.
