I recently bought a Ctek 15 amp charger, made in Sweden and seem to do a very good job .

Cant comment on the Pro charge, have never used one, though I notice its only rated at 8 amps.

They are an 8-step charger. So there is a lot of control across multiple stages.

http://www.ctek.com/au/en/chargers/MXS%2010 is a nice unit

http://www.ctek.com/au/en/Product/Category?category=tank

Either of these units will work great for you.....

Looking for an Ctek now

and @ Santa I tough it was better to charge slower than the fastway maybe I'm wrong

John

Morning John, as Salty Dog has commented, it seems these latest chargers control the charge rate constantly, they don't simply run flat out until they destroy the battery.

When my Ctek reaches full charge it drops the rate to a maintainance trickle, and I believe, can be left connected full time if needs be.

I bought the MXS15, seemed to be a good mid range unit. http://www.ctek.com/au/en/chargers/MXS%2015

http://www.ctek.com/au/en/chargers/MXS%2010

Salty Dog, seems your second link was to a 24volt charger.

Cruising Cruize, for the purpose you have mentioned, a 5 would be more than enough and they are only $90 AUD

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CTEK-MXS-5-0-BATTERY-CHARGER-12-VOLT-12V-5A-5-AMP-REPLACES-XS4003-DEEP-CYCLE-AGM-/300824532033?_trksid=p2047675.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D11%26meid%3D6111500046838041147%26pid%3D100011%26prg%3D1005%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D321023784549%26#ht_3326wt_1220

Or even the trickle charger for $59

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CTEK-XS0-8-TRICKLE-BATTERY-CHARGER-12V-CAR-MOTOR-BIKE-ATV-REPLACES-XS800-COMFORT-/400347149377?_trksid=p2047675.m2109&_trkparms=aid%3D555001%26algo%3DPW.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D29%26meid%3D6111568268832992984%26pid%3D100010%26prg%3D1013%26rk%3D10%26sd%3D290821746802%26#ht_3070wt_1220

But for a more versitle unit, the 10 or 15 will be better.....

Buy right and one cry once ;)

Bahahah, i just checked, it wasn't even the correct link.... Doh :)

The 7 or 10 unit are great, i used one of the older 7000 units this week, its now called a 7.

My friend tells me he bought the 7000 off ebay for $78... personally i can not find them for under $250

Is there anything that's not made in China.

Walmart commissioned the largest container ship ever made. It sails empty from the US back to China !!!

Be Warned, i just purchased a new CTEK MXS 5.0 and it destroyed a battery in 1 night!
A smaller 10Ah Motorbike battery, but still, it has a setting for the Motorbike size Batteries.

And a good AGM Battery that was working fine yesterday morning and now destroyed and only reads 10.23volts after having the CTEK connected to it for 24 hours.

There are also more stories like this on the net tool
