Dawa, count your blessing's it isn't in the camp books ,as it probably would not be in the contition it is now...and once these spots get into camp books every one usess it and the next thing the council is trying to close it down. Due to some grubs leaving litter every where.

The first 3 weeks I was here I picked up a plastic bag of rubbish every day.

This is crown land and the bins are provided as a service by local council.

I won't be back here but it is a great place.....especially if yr into fishing

I reckon you must be in this little bit of paradise. Loved my stay when camped up amongst the trees.

Beach was a little fouled at that time by European Carp left to rot in the sun, so I buried them.

Yep that is the one.

Matilda eats that carp if i don't get to it first.

Couple of the fishermen bring me good size carp fresh.

Don't know why more people eat carp - cleaned properly and perhaps seasoned well (stuff with garlic, onion and tomato - yummy!!) - throw it on the fire wrapped in foil - delicious!!!! and cheap!!

I know a recipe for carp that includes a rock or brick. You cook the carp until the rock is soft, and then throw away the carp and eat the rock................................Bill

With a little immagination carp makes an excellent meal

The only problem with eating carp as far as I'm concerned is all those little bones. If you catch a big one they are easier to remove. Carp makes great fish-cakes, and you can make carp curry too.

yes they do need to be a biggish fish. But minced for fish cakes are good.

I make curried fish cakes and have with rice.

I might add that i am the worst fisher person in the world LOL

Carp is a popular eating fish in Europe and Asia. I suppose if more Aussies ate them they'd be less of a problem in our rivers. Meanwhile, great pics Grizzly.
