Swincers Rocks, Yorke Peninsula

Hi all,

A couple of photos from the Swincer Rocks beach, certainly a beautiful spot!  There are beautiful buildings of a coral coloured limestone, large open paddocks of grain stubble, a windfarm in the SE corner and lots of fishing (catching, however, has thus far eluded me!).  Everyone is friendly and apparently over Easter it will be packed with holiday people!  A very laid back area to spend a quiet few weeks.

Looks lovely, is it a free camp?

Beautiful spot, Anton. I think I need to get somewhere like that quicksmart, as my outlook on life has been getting pretty jaded so far this year

I like a man who gets his horizons straight. Nice pano lens too. How wide is it?

Thanks for the comments, some replies follow:-

".. is it a free camp?" Not really, it is a Council camp and they charge $10/nite or $35/week. Camps are basic, most don't have toilets or water. I'm not complaining, I enjoy them and am happy to pay the $35 for the week for the priviledge.

"I like a man who gets his horizons straight. Nice pano lens too. How wide is it?" I've actually edited these photos; my camera is a Canon S100, 5.2-26.0 mm. The camera is small enabling me to carry it with me everywhere.

Yes, Chris, get out there! Not all days are great (a puncture the other day was as bad as it gets so far!) but the change of scenery is a help and there are really interesting people to talk to!
