Towing with the XR6T this year, so am a little concerned about ground clearance.
The only trucks I will see, will be well and truly in the mirrors.
Travelling south on the Newell at present, from Bundaberg to Adelaide. No problems at all. Highly recommend having a good look around at the Pilliga area, the bush camping behind Pilliga RA No.2 was great, and the sandstone caves are well worth a look. Not signposted, so look for the turnoff into Yamminba Trail about 28km north of Coonabarrabran (I drove up and down a couple times b4 I found it because Google maps didn't name the road). I found the stretch north of Narrabri a bit tedious, and some nut case has decided to put rubbish skip bins at all the rest areas in the Toowoomba council area (includes Dalby) , with the result that the locals are dumping their rubbish there and the stench makes the RAs unusable for travellers. Currently overnighting at Terramungamine Reserve just north of Dubbo (nice campsite with good fishing), and also recommend Hickey Falls (bit of road noise in the day and early evening but seemed to be pretty quiet for most of the night). hi ken, we can highly recommend Hickey Falls, have stayed there numerous times .easy to get in to and loads of room. lovely waterfalls at the back of parking lot.no toilets. cheers greyghosts,
