FIRST RUN--REPORT

Well my first little journey was interesting to say the least.  Heading off on Anzac Day around 9am I went straight down the highway to Nowra, south of Sydney, and took the Braidwood rd.   This runs through a quaint little place called Nerriga.......they have a good pub there and the old Two Up was well under way with about 30 locals and 20 tourists stoppped enjoying the procedings. Me too  smile  After not winning at two up I headed off and not far down the road it turns to gravel ......not too bad ,  BUT,  then it happened   nono........my water tank decided to part company, ouch ! Lucklly there was no one behind me. The tank was not damaged so all ok, just the brackets all bent up, easily fixed. I got to Stewarts crossing and there was a dozen other campers on the river, and I spent 2 nites there. Saturday morn I went on into Canberra to a friends place for the weekend, then home yesterday.   It definitly pays to do a trial run or two before the big one........good fun. Sarg. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Should have taken the other road through Tarago sarg, theres only 3 km of gravel on that road and its in better condition!
Hope you have been able to fix the water tank!

Well done sarg, a trial run is always a good thing.

Hope you can get back on the road again soon, will be heading north and it would be good to catch up.

John

Lovely part of the world down that way. I was at Tarago some years ago on a Sunday and the locals were on the field playing cricket - they included the local constabulary. No one was in the pub! You did good, Sarg. What a great way to spend a week or so.

Well done Sarg, the first trip is always exciting and then you just don't want to go home again.

Hope to see you out there soon.
