The forecast of rain had me run for Tressie's Museum and Caravan Park in Karlgarin and an excellent CP it is! I spent this morning in the museum and it was enchanting! It has been established by the owners and Merv gives an excellent background to the displays of items used over years past in the area, ranging from sewing machines, tools, furniture, everyday household items - then, not now - and a great collection of phonographs and records, including Edison cylinder vintage with demonstrations. What a treasure of a spot. Well done Merv and Laurel!
If you go north again to Muckinbudin there are some amazing rocks worth seeing. Beringbooding Rock has a catchment wall and a huge water tank - was built when they thought Perth would have to be evacuated during the war. Also Elachbutting Rock.
