New member leaving Tassie on June 1st o/night Ferry. Intending Whycheproof o/night 2nd then Mildura/Renmark 3rd for min 3 nights  Then Morgan Clare Crystal Brooke or Gladstone then Wilmington then onto Alice Springs. Timing is not critical. This will be our first trip to the centre. Anyone else travelling that way or maybe some of the way. Not real sure where after Alice Springs Depends how much time is left. We have to be on the return sailing from Melbourne 29/08/13.

Thanks to 'Mongrel' and Jules for their words of welcome.
We have indeed completed our sojourn to Darwin from Tassie returned via Mt Isa Barcaldine St. George Ipswitch Gold Coast and Sydney
Having left Sydney for Tassie some 11 years ago we were amazed at how easy it was to go from Hornsby in the north to Mittagong in the Southern Highlands. It was of course by use of the toll road system. The time and stress saved was absolutely well worth the cost. We could afford the toll by being able to free camp at so many fantastic places. There were some downsides like Covered in sandfly bites and 4 days of gout while in Darwin, but generally magnificent.
Happy camping
Tony
