Having driven 460kms today I am now at Cunningham Rest Area Camps6 #794 33kms west of Warwick. I had planned to stop in Inverell but arrived there at 2.30pm so decided to move further along. Was pleased to see the Queensland Border sign at Goondiwindi and signs showing the distances to Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Had rain during the morning but cleared later and the solar got some sunlight so by the time I pulled up for the day the batteries registered 12.07 volts after maintaining the fridge. The driving side showed 13.16 volts so I am using that to charge the laptop and light the van, havent checked the second driving battery but I isolated it at 12.6 volts so that will still be the same. This is not recommended as a stopover for the night as it is alongside the Cunningham Highway and next to a railway line. I have parked behind the raised toilet block to keep out some noise, There is no problem parking on either side of the road and the toilet system is the windyloo configuration. There are tables and seats as well as rubbish collection. I'm the only camper here tonight some would be apprehensive in that situation. but that is how it has turned out. There is no Optus internet service here so I pulled out the Telstra dongle for just that circumstance. The first time since Tassie I have tried to use it and it has come up trumps. John
