just back from the hospital. An idiot in a truck came out of a side road, through a give way sign onto a busy 4 lane road & ran straight into us. Luckily we were doing less than 60kph & he hit us just behind the passenger door where Keith was sitting. This threw us into a spin & I managed to turn the wheel the right way to stop us rolling but we were then heading straight for a power pole. Don't know how but I got us turned enough to only sideswipe the pole instead of hitting it head on. We are ok except I have a badly swollen left hand (can't bend finger

Just out of hospital. An idiot in a truck came out of a side road without looking, through a give way sign onto a busy 4 lane road. he hit us just behind door on passenger side where keith was sitting. this put us into a spin and somehow I got the wheel turned the right way to stopus going into a roll but then we were heading straight for a power pole. I think driving by the seat of my pants took over and I managed to turn us enough so we only sideswiped the pole instead of hitting it head on. of course this sideswipe wiped out my side of the car. I pulled up and by a miracle we weren't badly hurt. I couldn't get out of my door so had to edge over to other side and crawl out. keith is ok - just a headache from whiplash but he will probably be with a few sore muscles and bruises tomorrow. I have a very badly swollen left hand - can't bend fingers but not broken. I also have headache and sore neck and shoulder. sorry I can't use capitals in this prose. no left hand to hold down shift. our poor Suzuki is a complete write off. both sides smashed in. other driver has admitted all fault so insurance will take over but in the meantime we have no car. but we are ever so thankful to still be alive. other driver will also be facing charges. please send hugs and sympathy by express. oh I hurt all over.

MG! Glad you are ok, and it was your Suzi instead of you big bus, but... It may take a week or so before you stop feeling like you've been bashed up with a piece of 4 X 2! Have Panadol, rest, and a good cry.... and very best wishes from all of us.
Glad you are not too badly hurt, with broken bones etc. To start with i to thought you were talking about the bus.Just sit back and take a deep bresth.
What rotten luck, Alice - but also fortunate that both of you are okay and on the mend. I don't envy you having to type one handed. It would drive me totally balmy.
Guys , so sorry to read that post. So glad that you are both still in one piece, be they a bit bent but at least functioning. We do trust that you are able to get a suitable vehicle to meet your needs without too many hassles. I guess there will be the legal side of things and hope that all goes thru ok. Our prayers for a swift recovery that you mend with the minimum of after effects.
Brian and Cheryl

Our prayers and thoughts go out to you both too. Take it easy and rest up. The aches and pains will keep appearing but I'm sure you will heal. Take care and all the best with the insurance issues.
My worst nightmare! Glad to hear you are ok, be-it a little battered and bruised. Hope all goes well, and that suzie, alice and keith get back on the road soon.

DUNMOWIN is no longer on the road and still DUNMOWIN!
I am so glad you made it through that ordeal with only minor injuries. Someone was surely watching over you both. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and that the insurance claim is done quickly.
Ditto all of the above, Time will fix the battering and bruising, and you will be back on track soon, You may have been un-lucky !! but boy oh boy were you also Lucky ??
Hugs and prayers coming your way. I got rear ended on Mother's Day and luckily no one injured. Other driver admitted fault and my car is now in being fixed in Maryborough while I sit in the caravan park with a hire car but not game to go very far in case someone crashes into it. Having left Newcastle on 12 April and only at Maryborough now, one could say I'm not travelling very fast. lol Chris
Lucky niether of you was hurt too seriously - take it easy and heal - then backon the road!!! Some of Womby's chocolates might help - they say chocolate is good for you!!

How frightening for you both. So glad you were not badly injured. Hope you recover quickly both physically and emotionally. As Gerty said......have a good cry, it does help.
