Hi Cindy
Thanks heaps to yourself and your judge for conducting a very popular photographic competition where three great photos were awarded prizes, I think the winner was the standout of all photos submitted and the standard of photo that every Grey Nomad strives for, I look forward to the next one.

Congrats Peter & Margaret. I would have voted for yours if I weren't bias, having 2 of my own to choose from was hard enough. I thought you're pic would win anyway as it was the best but I was actually hoping for the second spot alcohol prize to help cover a bit of the toasting wine for Hylda & my wedding in Oct.

Oh well, there is always next time.

Cheers

Jon

Great choice for no 1 and the other two were lovely shots too. Good competition once again Cindy.

Thanks Cindy and thanks to all those who voted (for anyone). Lots of great pics.
We did not even know we were finalists.

Cheers,

Congrats to Peter and Margaret a great shot, once again the second and third prize has gone to members that have only ever posted once in the forum and that was in the photo comp, IMHO there should be more rules for this comp.

I do understand that the forum is open to everybody, it was one of my reasons for not entering this time around, the other reason was that I have been unwell for a while.

I would like to see some restrictions on who can enter, it will be hard to keep a track of but I dont think its fair for members of other sites to just enter GN comps and walk away with prizes.

Of the 10 finalist only two were not regular posters and guess what.

Having said that I do believe Steve had a hard job to do picking the top ten, thanks Steve for a job well done, and thanks to Cindy for her work in another GN comp.

I posted the above here http://thegreynomads.com.au/2013/06/the-dust-has-settled-a-winner-has-emerged/

and thought it should also be posted here, click the link if you want to see admins reply, I don't like to copy and paste other people's text without permission.
