Cleaverville Beach camp. Pilbara WA

For anyone that doesn't know the area Cleaverville is approximately 35 - 40km north of Karratha with the last 13km good gravel road.

It is a council camp with caretaker charging $7 per night, $45 per 7 day week & (I think) $150 per month.

There is a large central area (where the caretaker resides) but numerous tracks leading to the beach left & right of there.

This panorama was taken from a hilltop behind the camp area.

This view is looking inland from the same hilltop.

Here is a sunrise pic from the waterfront.

There are some good creek waterways for the boaties to have fun on too.  They are tidal of course with 6 meter tides when I was there.

Hi Barrie, there is a dump point and toilet (long drop) both new and very clean.  Covered picnic area with a couple tables / benches.

Unfortunately when I was there there was one selfish van owner that parked up against the roof so he could claim one table as his own.  Had his gear around and under the table.  Ignorant sod.

I just today heard the caretaker has resigned so if you are looking for a job.......

Cheers Neil
