I visited Josephine Falls and the Golden Hole between Innisfail and Babinda and what beautiful places they are and not far from the beaten track, the walk to the falls is 700mtrs and the car park is adjacent to the Golden Hole. Really places where sharing is better than going alone. No camping there in the National Park. John
Just accessed WikiCamps and found that The Golden Hole is listed as a free camp with no time limit indicated, there was a person who looked that he may have camped there when I was there yesterday. John
Its well worth while hiring a Kayak from Babinda Kayaks & doing the 3Hr aprox paddle down the river finishing at the place you are camped at John. Wife & I did it with grand kids a couple of months ago. Don't try & keep up with grand kids.

Nostalgia time for me reading this post. My late husband and I built that house on the corner of Josephine Falls road and Biggs road (the road to the Golden Hole on Russell River). I spent the 12 best years of my life there. Nothing lasts forever
