New friends at Jimboomba

I was invited by kaid (Kathy and David) for a cuppa this morning and would you believe it I am still here at 9pm.

We have had an excellent day talking about travelling and rigs, the bus was inspected and passed with flying colours.

Never eaten so much in years starting with a huge muffin and coffee, then lunch was a sit down knife and fork affair. Another muffin during the afternoon followed by another knife and fork meal later. Some may remember from previous posts how rare it is for me to get to use a knife and fork and now twice in one day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Not only that but I have been promised an egg and bacon breakfast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How good is that? Another example of Grey Nomad hospitality and I recommend any of our members who will be passing Jimboomba to send kaid a pm and you will be made most welcome. Kathy and David travel often having just got back from Cairns so you may not be as lucky as I was to meet up with them but well worth the effort.

John

Didn't realise they were home already John.   I was looking forward to seeing Kathy again on their way back, but maybe next time.  I still haven't met David yet.  Had coffee with Kathy a couple of times when they were in Yeppoon, but missed him both times.  You'll be spoilt there, as you're finding out.

Cheers,

Sheba.

Was wonderful to meet you too John, Inspect the bus. Which is a beauty
Loved hearing the stories of other nomad catch ups
Can't wait to do what you are doing John.
So many people to meet and places to go.
Hopefully we have whetted your appetite for the Red Centre.
You are welcome any time John.
Sheba am so sorry we didn't get to see you this time.
Went straight from Mission Beach to Waverly Ck rest area.
Then went directly home.
I tried everything to slow the trip back home down but to no avail.
Will def catch up next time though

Our daughter lives in Jimboomba, thank the lord for Satnav without Dora we would never negotiate so many roundabouts, they must have been cheap.
