Hehe! Solo Steve taught us that ;) ie everyday is Sunday on the road, but they're numbered 1-7. I like his logic. Reckon he's smarter than the average wombat, only he figured out the stupid rope tension thingies I have to hold my awning. We all tried. But I'm resolute in sticking to my truckies knot on that one. Easier. For me anyway, and does away with carrying tensioners.
set up a blog today, in between Internet dropping out, but it's slow on my ipad so ill blog on here til I get it totally sorted.
Yeoeleven n I armed ourselves with his chainsaw yesterday and went wood hunting. Truck loads of the stuff on the road sides. Small but oh so burn able. He even bestowed me the honour of using the chainsaw... Or was it cos he'd had enough of using it??? Hmmm, maye I got ripped off after all ( just kidding John)
so I took the fruit loops into town today (that'd be Billeeeeee n Yeoeleven), I was on a hunt for water. The kind folk at the cheapo shop told me of a tap where I could refill my containers. Apparently the area behind it used to stable road horses in the old days and so water was needed for horses. The laws in Rochie haven't changed for a 100 years on that, so technically, I was able to use it!!!! For free.... But suspect they didn't have water meters then...
Scoured the lake banks for firewood left after the weekenders. Not a bad result.
GypsyJoe and Patti arrived yesterday and today, in that order. I'm not real flash on remembering names, let alone forum names, so I hope I've got that right.
So there's 9 of us in the camp. Noice. ;) Pattis little dog Milly growled at my rottie x, now he's scared of her, there's only about a 27kg advantage to my dog, but hey, he's like Michael Jackson, he's a lover, not a fighter!! Haha, couldn't resist that one.
did I tell u that John got his shade screen today? Billleeeeeeee stated it was mans work setting it up... I won't tell u what my mind thought or my mouth said!!!! Laughing..... Ummmm, think Jules n Joan were the most productive. I just pullled up my chair n lunch n sat and watched.... There's free entertainment EVERYWHERE, who needs tv??? Oh come on now, we all do? Are up saying you've never sat n watched someone reversing their caravan? And Ive been a guinea pig enough times!
Heck, I'm not doing real flash on this photo lark, but I'll keep trying.....
Looks like even Ollie is giving John casome advice here - got it sorted with occy straps eventually (yep the dreaded occy straps)!!!!!!!!
Here's a thought for you all, try getting a used car tube and cutting strips off it to make rubber bands, then use them as tensioners.
Easier to pack away and better than occy straps.
Just a thought.
Kevin
