Another quilt for the Grandchildren.

Here is a quilt I made out of scraps for 3 of our Grandchildren. They all have a quilt each but share this one. I did the applique blocks while on the road. Easy quilt and a good way to use up the scraps.

I love the 'sunbonnet boy' figures Pam. Nice to have a mixture. Yes, time to start using the bits of fabric we don't need anymore. I have lots that is no longer fashionable but looks good in a scrap quilt as a 'colour'.

It's amazing the scraps you end up with.

Our Quilters Club has block of the month where we all make a block in a pattern chosen by the committee , sometimes they say it has to be done in certain colours but mostly we choose our own. Seeing there are 40 of us we raffle 20blocks amongst ourselves and the winner can make her own quilt. The other blocks are put together in a sewing bee and that quilt is donated to charity for them to raffle. It's a great way to use up left overs as well as helping others.
