In the dark blue bar at the top you will see "User Details", click on that and then "Settings" from there you will see choices you can make to bring new posts to the top in future.
Laurieoz - at the bottom right side of this post is a scroll box - open it and choose "newest first" - that is for the individual post. If you go into your profile - you will see some stuff - order of topics - choose "forum default" - works for me.

With Order of Topics - Last modified (what I use) seems to have the same effect as Forum Default (what you use), not sure why but both seem to work ???? See if you can see any difference by trying both ?

Sorry -I still can not get it to do what I want
1. If I have read a topic ,- when I log on again I want the next post that I have not read to be the first post on my screen. - Then I can scroll down to see all the posts I have not read or scroll up to read again the posts I have already read.
Otherwise I am trying to find what the last post was I read -ok if only a few posts but not if there are a lot of posts
2. I can do this on other forums.
If you have read a post, when you click to the next sub forum, go back to the previous sub forum, the post you just read will not be black, but shaded - that says you have read it - is this happening?
Is your problem in all the sub forums or in one in particular? Have you tried the scroll box at the bottom of the post - ? Forum default seems to work for me. (accessed in the settings on your profile page)

Vic - the forum default is "last modified" - there are several options available - have you looked at them? I fiddled around when I first got on, till I got what suited me - and what I have now works fine.

When I go back to a sub forum it is not greyed out - it is the same colour as if I had not read it. When I log out and log back in it will be black to show I have read it
Jules
When you have read a long sub forum, and go back to it latter when other people have added to it, how do you find the last post you have read without going through all the posts?
If I have read it, it will be greyed out - black means you haven't read it - See below - blackened box with tick - unread - greyed box with green tick = read

For the past few days when I read a post it does not black out to show it has been read which it always did before. If I log off when I log on again they are blacked out.
Just a correction it is the sub threads that do not show as read not the individual posts.
