Went exploring yesterday after meeting up with Rod at Maccas in Tamworth, we decided to have a look at Barraba Lions Park to see if it was a good place to stay a few days. It is an excellent stopover but not really suitable for a longer stay.
The camp I had stayed at last year on the way to Greens Lake is Bundarra and we decided to go there as originally planned. Just passed Barraba is a sign post for the cross country trip to Bundarra has good sealed road for most of the 70kms distance but there is around 10kms of good gravel road.
Arrived around 1pm and set up until after the long weekend, I have reported about Bundarra Lions Lions Park previously
So today I have big decisions to make, will I put up the shower tent and will I put up the sunshade and if I do as a privacy screen or as an extended awning. It is all a bit hard so I will think about it some more. John
Another good spot John - we are in Port Macquarie camped in Sue and Stan's front yard - good to see them - still the same, we had a good laugh about our first meeting!!!! And they reckon a French backpacker stole your headlight as well!!!!
Raining as we speak - but no matter, so quiet here, surrounded by bush, they are near a rail line, but trains only go buy a couple of times a day. Dogs, chooks and horses! Will stay tonight as well, they are inviting some people over and we will have a bbq!
Both say HI to you!!!!!

I notice you park in the open, John. Is that to avoid falling tree branches and also to attract more sunlight to your solar panels? As to the shower tent, I thought those things popped up in a second and were easy to pack away again. I've had mine for a couple of years but it's still in the original packaging hehe. I hope it hasn't died.
And Jules, nice to hear you're having a fun time in Port with the chooks and horses. The owner of my house plonked a hills hoist right in the middle of the yard which makes camping a no no unless it's in a tent. After talking to you and Billeeeeeee yesterday I'm wishing I was "out there".
Now it is Monday morning and very little has happened of note but this is a great spot and we have enjoyed being here, did get the shower tent erected and intend to use it today. We are off tomorrow to Glen Innes and I hope to get the inverter that was sent to Frankston then redirected and buy a small microwave oven, will report on that later. John
You definitely know how to live John and I admire you for it.
I still have visions of our stay together and I draw inspiration for the way you dig in and not only enjoy yourself but infuse that enthusiasm into the others around you.
It is no wonder you always seem to others around and you get all those girls LOL.
Go for it boy and I hope you have many years to enjoy life and inspire others to follow in your tracks.
Regards
Brian
