Cassilis NSW

If you are travelling between Singleton and Dubbo on the Golden Highway, the Cassilis War Memorial Park is a great little place to stopover.  The Park is about 1klm off the highway, is next to the Bowling Club and is part of the showgrounds and general community recreation area.  The ablutions block is only about 12 months old with power, water and some shady sites.  $10 per site and pay at the Bowling Club.

Next weekend - 1st and 2nd Feb is the local Rodeo so it will be very busy!

Louise and Alan

And Cassilis Rest Area a bit further west has had improvements. Lots of space. New toilets being built and 2 new big covered tables.

Staying overnight. They gave us a little notepad & pen when we paid the $10 fee. We had a drink in the club. Meals only on Friday nights. A great little stopover at a very reasonable price.

Stayed here on our first night away. Paid $25 for the site ($15) a cold stubby of Toohey's Old and a glass of Cabernet Merlot. Bloody great value.
