Bugga, I have been having flat battery problems in the tug for the last few days. The battery doesn't seem to hold charge over night, alright during the day while travelling around, stopping and starting.
This morning, Friday I had enough so off to the auto elec here in Downtown Devonport to see if they could pinpoint if it was the 1 year old big 4x4 Century battery OR maybe the alternator not charging properly. After a very friendly local native checked it over with his meter it was decided that the battery was faulty.
After many phone calls no one in Devonport could help me out with the Century Battery in the tug so in went a new battery, this time not Century $$$$$ later I was on my way.
I kept the Century Battery and will claim a replacement when I get back to base camp in Victoria. I will set up a duel battery system in the back of the tug that I can remove when not needed as due to all the LPG gear under the hood I don't have room for another battery.
I spose this experience comes under the heading of joy in the playground, not sure about joy though. At least I won't hold up the cue when getting off the good ship (Spirit) when In get back to the other side of the water ways. Hopefully.

Well, at least someone HAD a battery that would do the job. That in itself is a rarity for Devonport.......... Sorry we missed you. Maybe we'll catch up somewhere else in the playground......

Time will tell Brian. I will sort all that out next week when I get back to base camp in Victoria.
The auto elec here in Devonport was very helpful though and tested to make sure the alternator was actually charging and all OK in that department. Never mind I got going again so that's all that matters for now, if it doesn't start in the morning you will here me from Launceston mate. Doesn't look like I'll get to see you in your home land sorry but my brother has plans for the weekend, not sure what till he get's back home from Launceston where he works, due any time now.

Whew, when I saw the heading of this thread I thought we had gained a pedophile in our midst
Neil, you may need to send Dougwe a PM to explain that
I reckon he knows, that is a bag of lollies the little lass is walking off with isn't it?
NO its a bloody suitcase I keep telling you that and you take no notice, maybe I should contact Lynne and she could explain to you, sometimes I think Cody has more sense.

But a suitcase is to carry suits, surely if it carried suits then she would put a suit on on! I am sure it looks like she has a lolly in her mouth.

I thought Doug was referring to a different type of problem, especially after being down in Tas talking to BG about his cider. Thought he might have a problem with blistering.
