Hi everyone..well after being in Brisbane (kiwis) since last march, the time is almost here to start our big adventure. We are heading north from Bris ..and that's as far as we have planned so far..no definite destinations or time frames to be anywhere. We have been told that Woodgate beach is a great place to stay, anyone else been there ? your opinions. Also any suggestions of great places to stay or visit would be a great help. We are hoping to pick up some work along the way so any help or information as to where we might find some would be appreciated. Any other suggestions, advice would be a great help too..

Hi and welcome Redwood Nomads 256. We left Brisbane over 2 1/2 years ago, with one of our first port of calls being Woodgate Beach. (checkout photo attached) If you are referring to the caravan park, it is pretty much absolute beach frontage. We work as we travel and pick up house sits. check out the classified on this web site and place your own advertisement. Most of our work has come from either here or word of mouth, house sits from here or housecarers.com
Workabout Australia is pretty useful for a while, but the advertisements get a bit repetitive.
We have worked Birdsville Races, caretake private property near Winton, bean harvest Bowen, Prairie Hotel in flinders ranges, two harvest seasons in SS & WA, various house sits and jobs at caravan parks. Good luck
