Dog friendly free campsites within 2 hours of Wagga, NSW

Hi all

Just got our van set up for free camping and want to go somewhere for a couple of days, not too far from home, to test things out before we venture too far.

We live in Tumut and Jingellic is an option as are a few other places.
We have a small dog though, so lots of great places within the National Parks are out. Also we like to be in places with open spaces where we can let the young fellow run free for a while without having to worry about cars etc.
Some spots we've found are also a bit inaccessible as the van is 21'.

We have a few ideas but wondered if anyone had any other suggestions?

Cheers

Wandereone and the Grey One

We stopped at Lake Eucumbene on our way back from Eden where we left the 13 foot 'Pokey' and bought home the 'not so pokey' 21 footer - which Pokey could fit in nearly twice over.

Bless you Pokey. I loved you briefly. You are now but a 'small' space in my memory.
Aaaaahhhhh the space in the new van!!!! The storage!!!! The toilet!!! The airconditioner !!!!  Not to mention the fact that two people can actually fit inside and move around at the same time? Priceless!!!! Sigh............................

The photo below of the 'Tullster' (aka Tully)  was taken last week at Buckanderra Holiday Village at Lake Eucumbene, NSW which was lovely.

Lots of space and great for dogs.

Thanks all

Never heard of Oura Beach. Just having a look on Google Earth now.

We had a look at Sandy Beach a couple of weeks ago and it looking like quite a likely spot.

Cheers

An old thread I know, apologies for that.

Oura Beach (NSW) looks pretty good.
I was searching threads for "Eucumbene", but no luck there.

Does anyone have any experience or tips with any waterside van parks etc for Eucumbene please?
Looking at a warmer weather stay in the region and some annoying of the local trout.
