We have just bought a Jayco van second hand, but we cant get any tv reception. Having checked all connections, I am wondering if the roof top antenna
is suitable for digital transmission? The van is 7 years old.
Cheers,
Collo.
The antenna should be ok for digital TV ..
There is a big chance it is a powered antenna so I am guessing you may not have turned it on, there will be a switch there somewhere that turns on the 12v to it..
Thats ok CC, if you want to do it here's one way, there are other ways to do this.
[ u r l ] http://thegreynomads.com.au/ [ / u r l ] just put these tags before and after the string you want to link to, I have put spaces between the tags so just do what I have done above without the spaces, had to put the spaces in so that you could see what I mean, otherwise it would just show up as a link
I've just gone through a similar thing, Firstly our PVR in our house will not record free to air, I have come to the conclusion that the tuner is cactus. Now our Toyota motor home the TV would not work as no signal so I do the usual checks and put a set top box in line with antenna and it all works, Hell no not another tuner failure. It gets worse the remote doesn't work on the set top box now but was ok on another TV in the house.
No matter what I press on remote the number 1 comes up on the screen, FFS did I run over a NUN or something. Check that your tuner hasn't died as I seem to be jinxed with them at the present.

There is nothing unusual about that. You must have a remote that matches the set. Even with the one manufacturer you will find several different remotes for their looks like you picked up the wrong one.
