Just thought we would share some info of our fleeting trip from Vic to WA
First stop was Riverview caravan park in Renmark, Excellent facilities throughout but a tad expensive for a powered site $ 61.00 ( One night)
The second night we stayed at Port Augusta BP service station, ( free camped out the back) free showers, 24 hour food and excellent staff.
Third night we arrived at Penong caravan park, wonderful hosts that have only taken over in the past 6 or so months, thus are trying to build the park up, amenities OK , Negatives!! lots of flies, no playground for the kids, Parking on white ?limestone gravel, no shade. Cost was $30 per night for a powered site.
Fourth Night "Border Village" We free camped next to the Welcome to WA sign, excellent food and showers $ 3.00,
Fifth night, Balladonia caravan park ( about $34 for a powered site), met many wonderful people that were running and riding pushbikes across the Nullarbor, good food, good amenities Glad we didn't have to purchase fuel though!!!!
The sixth night "Esperance seafront caravan park, Terrific hosts, good amenities, cheap washers and dryers, Negatives:$60 PN for a powered site.
Seventh night Albany holiday park, excellent amenities, excellent hosts, play equipment for the kids $41.00 pn for a powered site. definitely the best place we stayed on our trip ( that we paid for )
