This time a general invite to all campers was made by the Moura RSL to visit on Thursday night and if enough were interested they would send a bus to collect. Three trips later we all were in the RSL and had an excellent night, there were several options for the meal all very reasonably priced.
I had paid $3.70 for a lemon lime and bitters at the Monto pub but here it was $2.20 for a Bundaberg LL@B bottle. There were a couple of raffles and four prizes were won from our table of six, unfortunately not my ticket. The bus came and deposited us back to the camp, all up a different experience. The last time I had been out at night was last November to the Shepperton RSL.
This morning I decided to walk to the Moura Wier and set off at 7am and after a brisk walk via the Golf Club arrived at 7.30am. Not very spectacular with only a dribble overflowing and the river past the wier looked in need of a flush.
There were many cows in a corral just by the road when I walked past towards the wier but just as I was returning they were being released across the road, I know that they are not dangerous but they did have big horns and I was glad that the dogs kept them at bay. Looks like there was a flood here previously by the position of the tree in the photo.
A study in contrasts after the Mannum episode and now. Definitely getting older and more wrinkly.
Congrats on the straight horizons, John. :) Interesting about the RSL collecting you guys in a bus too... very sensible for all concerned. The club makes a buck and the campers get a night out.

Thanks Gary I did concentrate on the horizons but I am probably losing some definition by using a pixel resizer program called PIXresizer and taking them down to 800 X 600. John
I use a freebie called PhotoScape to resize pics, etc, John, but it saves the original. If PIXresizer doesn't save the original, you can use "save as" to save the resize under a different name. Quality is not really an issue when posting stuff on the internet so less pixels is no biggie. It only matters when you want photo quality prints or enlargements.
Yep .... !
We are all (4 ) having a great winter experience . Not too cold next to the camp fire .
This Moura camp spot has got everything a grey nomad would ever pray for. Shopping at down town Moura is excellent it came in handy when getting caravan repairs done.
We will experience the Moura night life tonight .
Cheers from Paul
