Welcome to the forum KountryLite. My first question is how do you manage to 'fit' an American 5th wheeler on some of your UK roads? We saw one in Dawlish one year and couldn't work which road it had come in by! My first comment would be that my English cousin can never get over how many kms it is between towns in Australia. So expect long hours behind the wheel but also enjoy the scenery as you go because it will be much different to what you are used to. And I'd say caravan parks are very different to UK too. So enjoy your trip and keep asking questions. This is a very friendly helpful forum.
October's a good time to visit Oz; most states enjoy their best climate around April or Sept/Oct.
Three weeks will of course give you just the barest taste of what we can offer. You probably realise that from Sydney you can travel 1900 miles north, 2500 miles west without leaving the roads, or (what many of us consider the "best bit") the Kimberley region is only 2800 miles away!
As your plans advance, if you'd like more help just give us an idea of your preferences, direction and distances you'll be heading and the tips will flow!
Enjoy it all
