We were travelling and arrived at Kunurra late afternoon. As we normally free stay we found a park just out of town where another caravan had pulled up before us. After having tea and showering to our surprise about 9.30pm we had a knock on our caravan door. It was, although no identification was forthwith, a ranger saying we had to leave the park and be 25 klms out of town. If we did not move by midnight we would be booked $200. We were flabbergasted. What if we had been drinking and took off and had an accident, would we be able to come back on them and say they had a duty of care to ensure we were safe? We decided to move on and never to return. Kunurra were the loosers as we planned to stay there a week and spend up big.
Welcome to the gang HOBBY, enjoy here and out in the playground.
I have a document that you get the Ranger or similar to sign saying he/she is responsible for you being in a accident or similar due to being sent off. I have been told the document works as they won't sign it and you stay the night. I have never had to use it yet and hope I don't.

Thank you Doug. We will certainly make up a document for the future. It is certainly a great idea and one that I will let our friends know of also. We cannot believe that they would treat visitors like that.
