Another solo newbie

biggrin Hi Gang,

Another solo newbie on board, allow me to introduce myself.

I am Rex, a retired Data Modeller and owner of Poppet, my Land Rover Defender.

Almost ready to set off from Melbourne heading over to WA and NT to find some good spots for watercolour painting with a little fishing for the frypan.

I would welcome any input as to the most breathtaking views - the Bungle Bungles, Gibb River Road and Litchfield are on my list from previous trips taken years ago when my two were at school. This time I don't have to be anywhere and can take it as slow as I wish.

Hope to meet you in the playground - Rex.

Welcome. Rext. Hope you have a good trip. One of the best breathtaking views is seeing Melbourne in your mirror as you leave the place?!?!

those places on your list are great, and perhaps later down the track you will be able to show us some pics of your work.

Eucla, along the Nullarbor is also worth a look, drive in and go to the right you can then drive right down to the old telegraph ruins, now need to unhitch there is a circle turn around at the end.

Hi Rex,

A few other places for spectacular views and painting are the Kennedy ranges (50 kms north of Gascoyne Junction), Kalbarri ocean cliffs and inland Gorges and the south of WA, particularly the Esperance area in general.

Welcome to the forum.smile
